Democracy in Somalia

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud talked about the challenges facing democracy in his nation. President
Mohamud said he would not call groups like al-Shabaab and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), jihadists or Islamists, but instead extremists, comparing them to the Irish Republican Army (IRA) and the World War II kamikaze pilots of Japan
